In the crucial time of pandemic, Bharat Girlup has been constantly working for mental as well as physical health of people. Bharat Girlup is a youth driven organization that comes under the United Nations foundation’s initiative, working for women’s rights and gender equality at large.

As the country faces the health crisis, it is important that everyone should be fit mentally as well as physically. In the same spirit Bharat Girlup organized yoga sessions on every weekend under the name of “SWASTH BHARAT SURAKSHIT BHARAT” 15th May onwards with our trained instructor Mr. Sahil Makkar. By the help of many Asanas sir taught people Yoga and explained the benefits of the same and the learners recieved massive benifits. Which indicates that our need to spread the awareness was a big success!!
In these sessions we are not only focusing the youth but also the elder one’s. People from every age group joined our sessions and they actually came forward and told about their improvements and proper awareness from yoga.
The World Health Organization (WHO) has pointed out the benefits of yoga from the earliest days of the COVID crisis.
Yoga is cited for the following benefits:
Improves strength, stamina, flexibility and immunity
Decreases stress
Improves concentration
Improves quality of life
Boosts self confidence
Improves blood circulation
Creates sense of well-being and calm.

June 21, on the occasion of international Yoga day, we celebrated our joy with a closing ceremony in presence of many people across the country. In the ceremony, our instructor Mr. Sahil Makkar motivates everyone and said “Session is over but Yoga should never stop”.
This initiative was huge success and we will continue to come up with new ideas and ways to help people and make a change!
